We’re happy to partner with Dandies and Quaintrelles again this year and host a shopping night next Wednesday the 30th to help you get ready. We have an abundance of antique cotton separates, stripes, straw hats, scarves, parasols. We’ll be replenishing often until the ride. You may have heard from us or fellow vintage lovers that we’re fighting to change legislation that makes the licensing process for vintage clothing, record, book and furniture shops incredibly burdensome. The antiquated requirements for a second-hand dealer license are such that some area vintage sellers may go out of business. If you want to keep the vintage scene alive in DC and support local, independent businesses, please help SAVE OUR SHOPS.

On a mild, cloudy Saturday morning, we gathered (with a large container of coffee and countless boxes of instant film ) to put together Treasury’s Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook. We couldn’t be happier with the results; models Shirley, Kate and Devin did an awesome job interpreting the looks. Here are a couple extras, photographed in front of Black Cat.

We now carry Wilder Quarterly magazine, a publication focusing on gardening and food. The photographs range from outdoor landscapes to urban gardens and dinner party dishes, while the articles teach you how to make your own hops or a string bonsai garden. It’s a good guide for those aspiring to green thumb status, and works just as well as coffee table literature. Come get your copy!
