It’s time again to don your finest and get your bike out for the cutest springtime event DC has to offer – the Seersucker Ride on June 4! To help you get ready, Treasury is taking part in a Prep event on Wednesday, May 25. We’ll be open til 9pm and offering 20% off of the whole store (excluding jewelry and private label) plus treats! Come say Hi!
From the D&Q crew:
D&Q is teaming with select retailers and Marvin Bistro & Bar for an evening of Mid-City vintage and pop-up shopping for the Seersucker Social. Featured vintage clothing retailers include Junction, Ginger Root Design, Dr. K Vintage, Rock it Again,Goodwood and Treasury. Shops will be open until 9:30 Wednesday May 25 and feature discounts up to 20% off on select items for shoppers who mention the Seersucker Social. A pop-up shopping experience upstairs at Marvin Bistro & Bar begins at 7:30 featuring Hugh & Crye, High Cotton Ties and Proper Topper. If you are searching for a great fitting shirt, the sartorial pop of a cotton bow tie or a fascinator fit for a royal occasion make Marvin your final mid-city destination after perusing the vintage shops.
We are so thrilled to offer MCMCfragrance, a small batch perfumery based in nyc and made lovingly by one woman, Anne McClain. We knew it was meant to be at first sniff- Dude No. 1 (men’s cologne made to rub on beard, face, pulse points, made of jojoba and hemp), Hunter (woodsy, unisex), Maui (summer, with anise), Maine (the sea, just like the name says), all made of natural oils and evoking memories. It’s so easy to roll on and carry in your bag for dreamy moments. We adore!
And our love affair with Erin Considine continues. We started with Erin when we opened a year and a half ago and we feel like we have grown in tandem. EC is carried by the best shops all across this great land…
Stay tuned for more treasured finds from Trez this Spring/Summer!
We just got back from the best coast and wanted to share with you all the wonderful joints we checked out, in the spirit of fun and love that we got swept up in while in Cali!
IKO IKO – so wonderfully inviting, it was a a delight to touch all the beautiful products and chill with the serious Japanese vibe. We picked up some vintage ceramic beads and some handmade pieces from the owner’s architectural line Rowena Sartin.
CERRE – amazing leather pieces, all wood and iron in the store, exquisite vintage, plus the most beautiful/friendly owner-couple
SCOUT – finest, most wearable vintage with a super modern feel
OOGA BOOGA – where else can we buy records for our boyfriends and SSWTR shoes for ourselves?
We are so excited for spring that we’ve introduced a new sale! For the rest of the month, we’re marking all our shoes (boots, heels, loafers, sandals, everything!) in-store 50% OFF!
PLUS we’re starting a jewelry sale until Valentine’s Day: 20% OFF that special stuff for your loved ones (excluding consignments). As always, we are ready to help you find the perfect gift.
This video is exactly what’s needed to get ready for the weekend. If the styles don’t get you pumped, the tracks will. The dance moves are just the icing on top:
Taking classic elements and adding different shapes and proportions really speaks to us! We love the roll of the skinny jeans, the flare of the coat, and topped off with the De Nada slouchy beanie Emily picked up from our neighbor Redeem. Emily left Treasury with one of our favorite coats – a brown belted suede coat with a faux fur shawl collar.
Here’s Grandma wrangling my dad and my uncle at the beach, rocking her sunnies. Is it too early to be wishing for resort, pre-resort, pre-spring, spring-summer 2011?
O yea. All coats are HALF OFF the rest of this month at Treasury, plus we’re still offering 30% off the whole store through this weekend (excluding jewelry). So if you still need a 40s leather jacket, wool hunter’s coat, 60s navy peacoat, or fake fur cape we got you. The harshest part of winter is yet to come, so make sure you get something warm!
Heads up to let you all know that our dear friend, Rachel Machacek, just published a hilarious account of her dating experiments in DC called “The Science of Single.” Pick it up if you want to cringe with her about the Venezuelan or the dude that ran away from her at the end of their date, and definitely check out her book-reading events:
Jan. 20: Tryst, 2459 18th St NW, DC The Art of Dating – Signing with author & art show with Dana Ellyn paintings that were inspired by The Science of Single, 7-9pm (Art show opening is Jan. 6, 7-9)
Bored of the repetition of the shopping malls ? We’re taking part in MidCity’s Holly Days this weekend and offering up some holiday cheer. 30% off winter clothing and accessories! You guys, I’m really into the ’90s in New York right now…it’s all mid-riffs, vests, lace and chokers. PLUS J. LO! Gonna break this shit out at da club real soon…since it’s 2010, the first half of the ’90s is bonafide vintage.
