Smithsonian Folklife Festival 2012
Smithsonian’s Folklife Festival is now going on at various locations around the National Mall. The AIDS Memorial Quilt is being displayed, and there are creative workshops that teach quilting and other sewing techniques. There are also lots of workshops on agriculture and sustainability (to celebrate USDA’s 150th anniversary), and music performances/art/dance etc. focusing on the culture of the SE neighborhoods of Washington DC (Citified: Arts and Creativity East of the Anacostia River). Supporting creativity and learning in Washington, DC is something to be a part of. Come on, let’s go!
June 27-July 1; July 4-July 8
