Amid our pre-opening frenzy and multi-tasking, we received an email that reminded us how excited we were to move into our storefront and become a part of what is lovingly called “MidCity” area. The email was from Redeem’s owner Lori Parkerson letting us know that we were welcome and that we were opening a store within a supportive community of other businesses. We feel kindred to her aesthetic sense and her support for small designers, including DC’s De*Nada  (favorite knit essentials handmade in Peru) who will debut a month-long pop-up shop at the 3 year anniversary celebration “For the Love of It” this Saturday. Go check it out and congratulate Lori! We hope to achieve the success she has had and we feel lucky for the path she has paved for the rest of us.
