Michael Haneke’s new film “Funny Games” has been getting a lot of attention since it came out–and rightfully so. Dude rules at making movies. But don’t let the hullaballoo surrounding this release distract from his excellent past work–which, lucky for us DC folks, has been playing at the Goethe Institute for the past month! Unlucky for us, the program ends on the 24th. I strongly urge you to see the final film in the series, “Variation.” To be honest, I haven’t seen it–which is why I will be front and center at the screening on Monday! Join me for what is sure to be a festival of heart-wrenchery.
