ps I had the pleasure of witnessing Kels’ 2 hour show live last week and he definitely took a cellphone call during his performance to segway into “Real Talk” and I laughed my ass off.
How does your It bag brand rank? A great report from WWF UK about luxury brand rankings in regards to social responsibility and sustainability.
LOVE THIS! It’s good to know Snoop doesn’t take himself too seriously.
pic from hu’s site
Hu’s Shoes is having a 25% off sale on everything online til Dec 2…what a great excuse to splurge. On those McQueen heels–the heel is a naked lady for christ’s sake!
The winter is closing in on DC, even though today’s high is 58 degrees fahrenheit. Sometimes I think winter is more of a state of mind than a temperature. When the Christmas decorations go up, and the leaves fall off the trees, it doesn’t matter how warm it is outside, I still feel like bundling [...]

Have you checked out the new DC eco-boutique Setchi? It’ s a welcome addition to the consumerism of Georgetown…sure, it still promotes buying things, but at least the products are ethical and the space itself is somewhat sustainable. They’ve used recycled materials to craft the store and donate some profits to environmental causes. In case [...]

Taking part in this because I couldn’t resist Renee’s offer:
I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
Buy Less Crap: my sentiments exactly on the (Red) campaign/capitalist “charity”. I believe they have yet to make enough money to actually donate anything–thanks Bono.

Earlier this fall the fair Fiona recommended Dolcezza, the delectable Argentine gelato joint in G-town. Well, they have become even sweeter and fresher with a stand at the Freshfarm outdoor market in Dupont on Sundays. One look at their menu board and you are instantly warmed by flavors like Apple Cider [...]
The Renwick Gallery has an exhibition of quilts through January 28.
Quilts may be meant to keep you warm at night, but as this exhibition shows, they can also possess hypnotic, kaleidescopic beauty that changes shape before your eyes if you stare at them long enough.

Design collective Surface 2 Air has begun peddling women’s clothing, expanding their reach into fashion some more. The ads they did for Tsumori Chisato rocked my world and the were also responsible for the music video for that song you couldn’t escape last year–in short, they know what [...]
